Desert Flower - Kimchi Blue

Desert Flower is a ready-to-wear capsule collection developed for Kimchi Blue by Urban Outfitters inspired by the nostalgic, rock-and-roll bohemian lifestyle portrayed in Daisy Jones & The Six. Influenced by 1970s California music culture, Stevie Nicks-inspired femininity, vintage lace, faded florals, and desert-toned color palettes, the collection explores the balance between softness, glamour, and effortless individuality associated with the era. The project involved the full product development process including concept creation, trend research, print and color development, textile sourcing, flats, renderings, merchandising mockups, tech packs, and cost sheets. Throughout the collection, I focused on combining emotional storytelling with strategic product development to create a cohesive assortment that felt visually expressive, commercially relevant, and aligned with the contemporary Kimchi Blue customer.
